I’m doing the 2012 Climate Ride! I’m riding from New York to DC (300 miles) in 5 days – and I need your help!
My goal is to raise $2,400, which will go to great organizations that help fight climate change. But, my fundraising deadline is May 9! Can you help me cross the finish line?
To finish out my fundraising, I’ve got some great prizes to give away for the last week before the deadline, to the person who donates the most each day. These prizes have been donated by generous, talented friends who are giving their time and energy to help this cause. Look below to see some of the great items they’ve donated.
Here’s how it works:
- Start May 3, there will be a prize given away each day.
- Visit my fundraising page to make a donation to my climate ride.
- Each day, the person who donates the most during that day gets to pick a prize! (If there’s a tie, the person who donate that amount first wins.) The winner gets their choice of the remaining prizes. I’ll update this page each day to show what’s left.
- By May 9th, we’ll have raised a boatload of money to fight climate change!
Here are the lovely prizes you can choose from:

Local Artisan Cheeses (Claimed!)
A selection of cheeses from Keswick Creamery in Pennsylvania. Their cheeses are unique and delicious. We’ve been buying cheese from them for years at our farmers market, and they remain one of our favorite cheesemakers. [Note: only available if you live in the DC area.]
Chainmail Necklace (Claimed!)
This gorgeous necklace is made by Liz at Inksplot Studios. Its combination of chainmail and leather are sure to make a statement. Liz chose this piece because it evokes a bicycle chain – very appropriate for the Climate Ride! It’s adjustable and rugged, too.
